02 / Who it's for

Built for anyone working the Great Lakes seriously.

PortIS is for the mariners who depend on knowing their ports — not a generic logistics tool retrofitted for water.

The Master's Edition is available now — a standalone product for independent captains and mariners.

A company platform for shipping operations is in development.

If you're serious about navigation and safety on the Great Lakes, this is built for you.

03 / Why we built it

Built by a working mariner.

PortIS was built by a working mariner who spent years moving between ships, always hunting for information from the source — Coast Pilot volumes, government databases, hard-won experience passed between watch keepers. On the Great Lakes, knowing your ports means knowing entry procedures, bridge clearances, berth conditions, and draft restrictions. That information exists, but it's scattered.

PortIS brings it together. One platform, one search, everything you need for a Great Lakes voyage. And when you need the primary source, the link is right there.
